Since everyone seemed very confused (myself included) I've updated the article to include information about MikeeUSA's afore mentioned "conservative views".

I must also muse that open source projects most frequently have the opposite problem: devs facing no consequences for misbehaving and abusing users.

Here is an example of MikeeUSA's rather fervent bout of off-topic trolling on Debian mailing lists:

* https://lists.debian.org/debian-women/2005/06/msg00235.html

* https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=318229

I don't see where anyone's politics even enters into this at all. MikeeUSA can't behave, rather flagrantly misusing the lists, so his contributions weren't welcomed into the project. Neither sgran@ nor jmw@ professed any political considerations at all. MikeeUSA was merely called a troll and a poor upstream source. Trolling is trolling, whether it espouses right-wing or left-wing views.

Open Source projects usually have the opposite problem, with devs facing no consequences for misbehaving and abusing users.
