no job control on this shell

I am trying to reset root password of my ubuntu 12.04.When Grub menu open I am clicking 'e' button and add rw init=/bin/bash instead of ro splash quite handoff.After doing this, root shell is opening but can not insert anything with keyboard .There is error a no job control in this shell.
