Compiling Xwayland on Slackware Failing.
by brokenshakles from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4QTW1)
Hello, I'm trying to compile/install wayland with the wayland SBo's available for Slackware64 14.2 on Slackware64 Current. I have installed wayland, wayland-protocols, and wayland-egl, and am trying to follow this guide to get Xwayland from the xserver sources: https://wayland.freedesktop.org/building.html. Note that I am using Enlightenment as my compositor, and Xwayland is a hard dep for this.
So I try building Xwayland with the following:
$ export WLD=/usr
$ ./autogen.sh --prefix=$WLD --disable-docs --disable-devel-docs --enable-xwayland --disable-xorg --disable-xvfb --disable-xnest --disable-xquartz --disable-xwin
But the build fails with: https://pastebin.com/Tr90RxuG
This is apart from the fact I really need to put these options into a SlackBuild and use that, but it wont do any good until I can confirm that it will compile. It says it cannot find the necessary modules, but does not tell me what those modules are. Any ideas?
