This is Linux Mint 17.3. I've heard there were some security issues recently so I know I'm taking a chance even using it. But what's going on is it can connect to my Wi-Fi when I boot up, but it has trouble maintaining the connection. This is what my iwconfig output looks like right this minute:

Quote:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:"BHNTG1672G5B62"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 90:1A:CA:FE:5B:60
Bit Rate=72.2 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=10 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:2 Missed beacon:0

lo no wireless extensions.
