In a previous entry, we discussed thefcc-building-1-150x67.jpg Federal Communications Commission's Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to eliminate the main studio rule, which requires radio and television broadcasters to maintain a main studio located at or near a station's community of license. The NPRM was published in the Federal Register on June 2, 2017, which means that comments regarding the NPRM are now due on or before July 3, 2017, and reply comments are due on or before July 17, 2017.

Please contact Dan Kirkpatrick at (703) 812-0432 or Keenan Adamchak at (703) 812-0415 if you would like to submit a comment in the main studio rule elimination proceeding, or have any questions regarding the potential changes to your station's compliance obligations as a result of the proceeding.
