Unexpected ISP?
by rblampain from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4QVSB)
I am trying to install a website in Singapore through linode.com. While investigating why I have difficulty testing it I made a discovery that seems alarming to me, the command:
Code:netstat -alists 4 ip addresses, the first address is my home machine, then the 2 next IP point to China Telecom and a Chinese (Science & Technology) company and the 4th point to a Korean Telecom.
My questions:
1) Does this look normal or is my Linode compromised?
2) I do not want anything to do with a Chinese Telecom or a possible North Korean telecom, should I relocate the "linode" somewhere else (US or EU country) to avoid this?
Any comment welcome.
Thank you for your help.
