Mixon: Bengals' offense can be 'electrifying'
The latest addition to the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive arsenal, second-round pick Joe Mixon, believes the unit will be a nightmare for defenses this season after teasing its sky-high potential in Sunday's preseason loss to the Washington Redskins.
"We can be electrifying," Mixon said, according to Geoff Hobson of the team's official site. "We've got a lot of home-run threats. We just have to able to execute. It was exciting to see our offense moving like that (on Sunday)."
Cincinnati managed only 17 points in the defeat, but the first-team unit looked strong. Mixon highlighted his talents with an impressive 6-yard run during which he almost juked Josh Norman out of his skin:

The Bengals have a three-headed monster at running back, with Mixon, Gio Bernard, and Jeremy Hill all bringing different skills to the backfield.
Wideout A.J. Green is a superstar; there are few better middle-of-the-field threats than tight end Tyler Eifert; and while rookie receiver John Ross may be raw, his otherworldly speed makes him a lock for a handful of game-breaking plays this year.
"We've got a chance to be really special," Ross said. "There are a lot of guys on this roster that can make a lot of big plays. I think we've got a lot of talent. I'm grateful to even be a part of it."
The Bengals' offensive line was ravaged by high-profile departures this season, and Andy Dalton remains a limited quarterback, but those issues might not matter if Cincinnati's weapons play up to their potential.
