PM tours bushfire area as Queensland emergency minister laments continuing climate change denial
The prime minister, Scott Morrison has dismissed suggestions his government has not acted to address climate change, while acknowledging climate was "one of many factors" that fuelled ferocious bushfires in Queensland and New South Wales.
Speaking at Canungra in the Gold Coast hinterland on Friday, Morrison was asked about climate policies in the aftermath of a bushfire that remarkably burned into nearby areas of subtropical rainforest.
