USB ports switching off on login (not startup)
by Laurent-57 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4RMQV)
Hello.
I'm running Manjaro with 2 accounts : my main one ("Laurent") dating from more than 10 years ago when I had OpenSUSE (then Mint), and another one ("Game") which I created more recently ; I don't remember if I re-created it when I installed Manjaro.
The problem I have is, each time I log in as "Game" and switch off, when switch back on and log in as "Laurent" (or even "Game"), some USB ports on the rear of my computer switch off. The front ones stay on.
They are on when I turn the PC on (I have a gamepad whose LEDs blink), but when I log in the gamepad stops blinking.
I need to switch the PC completely off, then on and log back in as "Laurent" ; rebooting doesn't help.
This is highly annoying because I also have my network dongle on these USB ports. So no network, I need to switch off and on.
Could you please tell me where I can start with to solve this issue ?
I can post some portions of the system log when the problem occurs, if it helps.
Hardware details :
Motherboard ASRock A320M-DGS (flashed by the shop to receive a Ryzen 5 2600)
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Devices connected to the rear USB ports :
- USB network dongle TP-Link TL-WN823N, using the 8192eu-dkms module from AUR
- gamepad Microsoft XBox360, wired, kernel module disabled
- webcam Logitech C525
Many thanks in advance !
