merge PDF files, with one file with even, one with odd pages

Hi,
is it possible to merge two pdf files, one with only even pages and one with odd pages automatically via terminal in the correct order?
My scanner can only scan the front pages automatically, I need to turn the pages and scan again ...
In the end I have one file with odd and one with even pages, it would be helpful it they can be merged in the correct order by some zip function.
