Entered 'startx' instead of password for SUin terminal. X-org server authorization problems
by san2ban from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4RQAM)
Posting from another windows laptop
Feel like banging my head. Below are the messages
1. xauth: file /home/san2ban/.serverauth.1188 does not exist
2. xauth: timeout in locking authority file /home/san2ban/.Xauthority
Does this mean I have to re-install xorg-server?
For SU, if I type 'startx' as password, it should have just said wrong password. Is it not?Is this behaviour OK?
