Bluetooth headphones always switching to low-quality audio profile
by P5music from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4RQGZ)
My system is ASUS S300CA
Operating System: Kubuntu 19.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0
Qt Version: 5.12.2
Kernel Version: 5.0.0-29-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 i- Intel(R) Corea i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz
Memory: 3,7 GiB of RAM
I am able to connect bluetooth headphones to the system, but I see that every time the profile is set to "Headset Head Unit HSP/HFP" (=low quality) while I would like to have "High Fidelity Playback A2DP sink".
I change the settings but when the headphones turn off those settings are lost. When they turn on again on they are on the headset low-quality profile.
I would like to remove the headset low-quality profile from the list so that the high-quality option is default.
Or something else not to have to set the right profile every time.
Thanks in advance
