mv command

Is there anyway for mv command to use the same source folder path as destination path and let me change only the last file or folder name eg: instead of typing mv /var/www/html/oldfoldername /var/www/html/newfoldername .
maybe i can type something like mv /var/www/html/oldfoldername newfoldername
maybe i can type something like mv /var/www/html/oldfoldername newfoldername
