The Edmonton Oilers got some good news Friday to start 2016, as Connor McDavid returned to practice. The prognosis isn't as good for defenseman Oscar Klefbom.

Coach McLellan says @Klefbom93 is dealing with both an upper-body and lower-body ailment, return not expected in the short term.

Klefbom was already known to be dealing with a fractured finger, which has kept him out of the lineup since Dec. 11.

He's an important part of the Oilers' blue line, logging over 21 minutes in ice time a game. He has four goals and eight assists in 30 games.
