Canucks' Burrows beats Andersen in shootout to end Ducks' winning streak
On Oct. 12, Alexandre Burrows beat Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen in a shootout to clinch a 2-1 victory for the Vancouver Canucks.
On Friday, it was deja vu.
Burrows made no mistake as the Canucks' first shooter, and goalie Jacob Markstrom held on from there following a 27-save effort to secure a 2-1 Canucks win, and halt the Ducks' winning streak at three games.

Chris Tanev, who returned to the Canucks' lineup following a two-game absence with a lower-body issue, scored the game-tying goal in the third period. His goal ended a lengthy shutout streak for the Ducks at 207 minutes and 58 seconds that spanned back-to-back 1-0 wins with John Gibson between the pipes for Anaheim.
Meanwhile, former Canuck Ryan Kesler scored the lone goal for Anaheim, much to the ire of the Rogers Arena crowd. Friday's game also marked the first time defenseman Kevin Bieksa played at Rogers Arena as a member of an opposing team.
The Canucks' next chance to increase their cushion over the Ducks in the Pacific Division will come Monday when they host another division rival, the Arizona Coyotes.
