Penguins activate Fleury from injured reserve
The Pittsburgh Penguins' No. 1 puck-stopper is ready to return to action.
Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was activated from injured reserve Saturday and will get the start in his club's contest against the New York Islanders.
Fleury is in the midst of a career season, boasting a .925 save percentage and a 2.29 goals-against average in 25 games, both career bests.
The 31-year-old has been sidelined since Dec. 14 with a concussion. During Fleury's eight-game absence, the Penguins staggered to a 3-4-1 record.
Due to Fleury's return, the team has assigned goaltender Matt Murray to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
