Flames' Hudler out a week with groin injury
The Calgary Flames will be without Jiri Hudler for a week, head coach Bob Hartley said Wednesday, according to Sportsnet's Roger Millions.
Hudler's lower-body injury, which forced him from Saturday's game and caused him to miss Tuesday's game, is a groin ailment, so the Flames are exercising caution.
"Huds will be off the ice for basically a week," Hartley said. "We have no target dates yet on his return."
It's been a disappointing first half for Hudler, after he exploded for a career-high 76 points last season, his first in Calgary. The 32-year-old has five goals and 15 assists in 35 games, and is headed for unrestricted free agency this summer.
