Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson seemed to fess up to police after allegedly hitting a woman with his truck and threatening a man with a rifle on July 4 outside of Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, according to The Dallas Morning News' Naheed Rajwani, citing court documents.

Wilson initially told police he was not involved in any sort of incident when being identified by a witness, but admitted fault after being detained by police and offered a rather weak excuse for his actions.

"I had road rage," Wilson told officers, in response to being asked why he brandished his gun.

Police have not confirmed or denied that the woman who was struck suffered any injuries, though they say the man who flagged down police had feared for his life when Wilson displayed his rifle.

Wilson faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
