The New York Jets made the first play of their Saturday night scrimmage a memorable one for 10-year-old Jesse Pallas, who's currently in remission from acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Jesse took a handoff from Josh McCown 50 yards down the sideline and into the end zone to kick off team drills at MetLife Stadium practice, according to The Associated Press.

Jesse was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011, suffered a relapse three years later, and went into remission last year. He and his family also received tickets to attend the Jets' 2017 home opener.
