Steelers' Bryant claims Colts' Farley intentionally tried to injure him
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant claimed Indianapolis Colts safety Matthias Farley intentionally tried to injure him during Saturday's preseason contest.
Colts cornerback Vontae Davis dragged Bryant down to make a tackle, then Farley connected with an upper-body strike, irking Bryant.
"I feel better about my body and my ability on the field. I don't have to worry about taking so many injuries from different plays like yesterday where he tried to hurt me," Bryant said to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "Just making sure my body feels good and I stay in shape."
Farley was not sanctioned for the play.
Bryant was permitted to participate in all preseason activities after being banned for the entire 2016 campaign due to a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. The receiver awaits full reinstatement before he can suit up during the regular season.
