Giants 'hopeful' Beckham will play Week 1 vs. Cowboys
New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said Monday that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is "improving" in his recovery from an ankle injury, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Beckham hasn't yet returned to practice, but the team is hopeful the star receiver will be able to play in the season opener on Sept. 10 against the Dallas Cowboys.
"He's getting treatment," McAdoo said. "He's responded well to treatment. We'll repeat that process again (Tuesday)."
McAdoo added: "I'm hopeful he'll play (against Dallas)."
Fellow Giants receiver Brandon Marshall made his return to practice from a shoulder injury Monday. He suffered his ailment in the same game as Beckham.
