Why is udevd trying to delete all my partitions?!

I see these messages when I boot:
Code:systemd-udevd[637]: Process '/sbin/partx -d --nr 1-1024 /dev/sdc' failed
...(repeats for all my discs except sda)
I don't understand what this could be for or if it is something to worry about. It didn't succeed, but seems very odd command to just execute on boot.
