No HDMI connection to TV after reinstallation

After reinstalling Arch Linux with KDE Plasma I am unable to make my Panasonic TV reflect my desktop. It used to work without any problem in my former Arch/KDE system - just connecting the HDMI cable and that was that.
I have not changed anything in the TV. It's the same cable in the same box, but no dice. I have tried various TV and AV settings without luck, so I must be overlooking something, but what? Does anyone have an idea?
