Authorities say a man has been bitten multiple times by a shark on North Carolina's Outer Banks, the fifth such attack in the past two weeks.

Multiple media outlets reported that a 47-year-old man was bitten on the back on Friday while he was in the surf off Avon on Hatteras Island.
