Though Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson has won three consecutive starts, including back-to-back shutouts in Alberta to close out 2015, head coach Bruce Boudreau will turn to Frederik Andersen on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks.

"Freddie has been our No. 1 for (a) year-and-a-half, and he deserves another chance to get back in net," Boudreau said of his goalie, according to Kevin Woodley of NHL.com.

Andersen has struggled this season, posting a 5-8-4 record heading into January after winning 35 games last year.

Gibson, 22, looks to finally be hitting his stride in the NHL, sporting a 7-4-2 record since being called up from the AHL in late November. He will rest up on Friday, and look to continue his shutout streak Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Andersen won't be the only Anaheim player with some extra motivation Friday, as defenseman Kevin Bieksa is set to play in Vancouver for the first time since being traded by the Canucks during the offseason.
