No VESA BIOS extensions for Radeon RX 580
by 1337_powerslacker from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4H8AP)
Recently I switched to a MSI Radeon RX 580 because of DVI-D port issues with my old GTX 1070, where the monitor would randomly blank; it became enough of an issue that I decided to go back to Radeon after 3+ years, since I've heard enough support has been placed in the kernel for full 3D accelerator support for AMD's cards.
Anyway, my question relates to the title; my old card had no problem with the VESA BIOS extensions, but it appears that the Radeon has no such extensions, according to LILO. This is the message I get when I run the lilo command:

Is there a workaround for this problem? (Not really a showstopper, just a nuisance, but still I would like my old bootloader screen back). Thanks!
