Waiting for an editor to be nominated, it does seem.

With the red site doing well, and even the green site getting bought out by a new benevolent dictator, the need for another alternative has diminished considerably. If the other two sites self destruct or start a new "beta" fiasco, I'm sure we'll get some some renewed interest - but for now, yes, we are sleeping. I still use the site quite a bit every day to read RSS feeds so the site is definitely not dead. I also have a pretty big backlog of code changes to push up (probably around the release of the next Ubuntu LTS in April.)

Of course, I would not be opposed to a new editor volunteering and posting some fresh stories. Send me a message if interested!

IMHO the green site is utterly worthless at this point. Most articles are politics and flame bait. The few technical articles are massively inaccurate. The discussion is nothing of value EXCEPT for the handful of people who explain why the article is BS.

The red site was never what I wanted. It's not a tech site, or particularly intelligent at all. Just HuffPo with user comments...

To get a little fix of tech news I hit up The Register, but something has really been lost in the downfall of /. and the failure of anybody else to fully pick up the torch and run with it. I certainly haven't been commenting anywhere, and I'm sure many thousands of other knowledge people are keeping their insights to themselves these days, too. A real shame.

Haven't looked over here in some time, but I'm a very happy user of the Pipedot RSS page -- thank you for keeping it going.

This seems a little harsh to me. I'm seeing plenty of tech articles there, but often they don't draw many comments (or only draw off-topic comments).
On the down side, there are a few high volume posters who take standard sides in "political" discussions. But the number of interesting AC posts are still fairly high.
