US hospital pays $24k ransom to unlock medical records
On February 5th staff at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center found problems with the hospitals network. They found that malware locked access to certain computer systems. The ransom demanded was ransom requested was 40 Bitcoins, or about $US17,000.
