Hellraiser: The 5 Best & 5 Worst Cenobites In The Whole Franchise
The Hellraiser series introduced a new type of monster to the horror movie genre, but they were far from stereotypical. These creatures embodied the most twisted elements of pleasure and pain. Behind-the-scenes Hellraiser facts reveal a nightmarish collage of sadomasochism, artistic expression, and even a code of honor that reflected on their reputation.
RHOP: All the Gossip From The Reasonably Shady Party
Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant from The Real Housewives of Potomac hosted a Reasonably Shady party in honor of their new podcast, and it's time to talk about the gossip that made the rounds at that event. The green-eye bandits have been best friends since the beginning of RHOP. However, the bash marked the beginning of a whole new adventure for the entrepreneurs. Before the event, Gizelle and Robyn had some differences of opinion. Gizelle planned to have the event outside of her home due to the construction and said she wouldn't let certain individuals inside. Gizelle decided that Dr. Wendy Osefo and Karen Huger wouldn't be allowed to use the bathroom. Robyn wasn't prepared to cosign this. Karen and Gizelle's age-old feud cast a pall over the afternoon, as did Gizelle's tension with Wendy. Gizelle decided to bring up the infidelity gossip surrounding Wendy's husband Eddie Osefo on the season's first girls' trip. Wendy said none of the rumors are true. In turn, Wendy threw shade at Gizelle's recent split with her ex-husband.
Young Sheldon Theory: Brenda Seduces George To Get Revenge Against Mary
Brenda Sparks (Melissa Peterman) may be intentionally seducing George (Lance Barber) to seek revenge against Mary (Zoe Perry) in Young Sheldon. Ever since the CBS comedy floated the idea of the Cooper patriarch potentially starting an affair with his newly single neighbor, fans have been wondering if this effectively sets up Sheldon's cheating story in The Big Bang Theory. Admittedly, it's far too early to confirm since it's supposedly a few more years before this heartbreaking incident happens. Nevertheless, Young Sheldon seems to be setting up George's affair so that the shift from a loving father to a cheating husband doesn't feel unbelievably abrupt.CBS has dropped clues here and there about the future collapse of George and Mary's marriage, but it wasn't until the Young Sheldon season 4 finale that it straightforwardly addressed the looming tragedy. The episode titled "The Wild and Woolly World of Nonlinear Dynamics" started off with Missy (Raegan Revord) dealing with boy troubles, but, by the end of the outing, the issue became so much larger than that. The commotion at home led to her dad confessing for the first time that he is miserable and deeply unhappy. Not wanting to make things worse, the Young Sheldon season 4 finale ended with George abruptly leaving home and going to a pub where he coincidentally met Brenda. They decided to hang out, heavily implying that this could be the start of a potential affair.
Top Gun 2: Why Tom Cruise Wasn't Allowed To Fly An F-18 Fighter Jet
Throughout Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise's character Pete "Maverick" Mitchell pilots multiple aircraft, but the US Navy forbade the actor from piloting the F-18 Super Hornet. Set for release, after several bumps in its schedule, on May 27, 2022, Joseph Kosinski's sequel to the original 1986 hit movie Top Gun promises unmatched and unforgettable aerial combat scenes. The movie has also prioritized practical effects over CGI, adding authenticity to the action. While Cruise is renowned for performing his own stunts for many of his movies, some of the tricks proposed for Top Gun: Maverick were a little too ambitious, even by Cruise's standards. In an interview with Empire, Tom Cruise said he told Top Gun: Maverick producer Jerry Bruckheimer that he agreed to return as Maverick with one stipulation: "I said to Jerry [Bruckheimer], ‘I’ll do it if…’ meaning, I’m not going to do the CGI stuff.” In other words, Cruise signed on for the project only with Bruckheimer's agreement that the film's effects not be reliant on hokey-looking CGI. Cruise was so ambitious, in fact, that he had initially hoped to fly a real Boeing F-18 fighter jet. A certified pilot, Cruise is well-accustomed to high-octane aviation stunts. Many Cruise fans will already be aware that many of the more impressive helicopter stunts in 2018's Mission: Impossible - Fallout were performed by Cruise. However, Bruckheimer maintains that the US Navy ultimately denied Cruise's requests to fly the Super Hornet, which boasts a price tag in excess of $70 million. The F-18 jet does feature in Top Gun: Maverick, but those scenes were all completed with assistance from Navy pilots. According to producer Bruckheimer, Cruise does fly a P-51 propeller-driven fighter plane, as well as some helicopters. With the assistance of skilled editing, the action sequences should remain convincing to even the most well-trained eye. There's no confirmation yet about why the US Navy might have denied Cruise's aspirations to pilot a Super Hornet – but the most logical reason would be insurance concerns, which is always enough of a consideration to prevent actors from doing their own stunts. The cost of the plane also figures into this – the cost of a real F-18 Super Hornet would make up roughly half of Top Gun: Maverick's $152 million budget. That would be likely to create logistical nightmares for the insurance of the film. That's not even to mention insuring Cruise himself, who, though already a certified pilot, has little experience with this kind of supersonic military aircraft. Insurance woes aside, should an inexperienced pilot such as Cruise lose control of a high-speed aircraft, it could also mean peril for civilians and/or military personnel on the ground.Fans will have to wait until spring of 2022 to see Cruise return to the danger zone as Maverick. Judging from interviews and trailers, it appears as though Bruckheimer and Cruise are sincere in their claims that Top Gun: Maverick emphasizes practical effects over CGI. Both the actor and the producer seem committed to creating the most immersive experience possible. Perhaps fans can agree that this movie holds plenty of thrill potential, regardless of whether or not its actors are actually piloting multimillion-dollar fighter jets.
What If...? Just Explained Why The Avengers Are The MCU’s Most Powerful Heroes
Marvel's latest hit show What If...? has confirmed once and for all exactly why The Avengers really are the most powerful heroes in the MCU. Ironically, this elevated status doesn't necessarily come from extraordinary abilities or physical prowess – although those, clearly, are also in ready supply. Instead, the supergroup's definitive ranking is actually down to something much more intangible that ultimately causes their opponents to underestimate them time and time again.Throughout the MCU, Earth's mightiest heroes have developed a happy habit of overcoming overwhelming odds in almost impossible circumstances. Whether it's repelling an invading Chitauri army as a team during the events of the very first Avengers film, or acting alone during their various solo projects, the six original superheroes have, without a doubt, an impressive track record. Ultimately, as seen during the climax of the Infinity Saga, the crew is even capable of defeating an intergalactic titan capable of wiping out half of existence.
Batwoman Season 3 Episode 2 Synopsis Confirms Killer Croc Appearance
A new synopsis for Batwoman's upcoming episode confirms Killer Croc's appearance in season 3. The series created by Caroline Dries for The CW began airing in 2019 as a part of the network's Arrowverse franchise. Initially, the show focused on the adventures of Ruby Rose's Kate Kane, as she becomes Gotham City's new vigilante following the disappearance of her billionaire-philanthropist cousin Bruce Wayne. But Rose quit Batwoman after season 1, forcing the show to find a new heroine for season 2 onwards. God Friended Me's Javicia Leslie was subsequently introduced as Ryan Wilder, a street-level hero and ex-convict who takes up Kate's Batwoman mantle.Batwoman devoted much of season 2 establishing Ryan as the new superheroine, along with resolving the conundrum of what happened to Kate. The season ended with some thrilling revelations and cliffhangers, with Ryan finding out that her biological mother was still alive and Batman's villain trophies floating down a river. Those events will factor into the upcoming season 3, leading to the arrival of some notable allies and adversaries from the Batman comics' lore. Actress Bridget Regan has been confirmed to appear as the plant-manipulating villain Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, while Gotham's Victoria Cartagena is expected to show as Renee Montoya. Riverdale's Robin Givens and David Makes Man's Nick Creegan are playing Jada and Marquis Jet, respectively, who are presumably Ryan's mother and brother.Related: Why Poison Ivy Is In Batwoman Season 3Now, according to the synopsis listed on IMDb, the DC antagonist Killer Croc will make an appearance in season 3 episode 2, titled "Loose Teeth" and scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 20. Per the description, the show will introduce a "new incarnation" of the character, who will add to Ryan's woes with a murderous rampage in Gotham City. Directed by Jeff Hunt and written by Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, "Loose Teeth" will also feature the debut of Givens' Jada, and explore the new, complicated dynamic between Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang). Take a look at the synopsis below:

90 Day Fiance: Tania Confirms Breakup & Hints At The Single Life Season 2
Speculation that 90 Day Fiancé couple Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester are broken up has been confirmed by Tania in her latest Instagram post. For weeks, Syngin was rumored to have a new girlfriend and was reportedly filming the spin-off 90 Day: The Single Life, though both he and Tania had been cryptic in response to questions about their relationship status. Now, fans have a definitive answer following Tania recently revealing the truth about their marriage.Fans have had their doubts about the couple since the start of their journey when South African Syngin moved to Connecticut to be with his fiancé Tania. There were many obstacles on Tania and Syngin’s journey to the altar, including Tania stating that her “soul mate” was her ex-boyfriend, not Syngin. Alas, they ultimately tied the knot at the end of 90 Day Fiancé season 7. The couple’s relationship has become increasingly rocky since then. Most recently, Syngin hinted at a breakup with Tania on social media by appearing in photos and videos with another woman.Related: 90 Day Fiancé: Syngin’s Supposed Girlfriend Addresses Romance RumorsEarlier on Sunday, Tania teased “more news coming today.” Though some fans thought the 90 Day Fiancé stars’ breakup rumor was mostly false, Tania has confirmed their split on Instagram. “Some rumors are true,” she said. “#SingleLife New Season was announced and yes I am single, [Syngin] is single - we're all single!! Now don't go all at once to his DMs ladies or he'll never be able to sort them all out.” Tania also mentioned that she'd be launching a page on Unfiltrd, which is Stephanie Matto’s NSFW-content subscription platform, in just a few weeks.Syngin and Tania played coy with their relationship status for weeks, so this is the first definitive answer they’ve given to fans’ questions regarding their marriage. The tone of Tania’s post is surprisingly lighthearted for someone whose relationship just ended, but the 90 Day Fiancé star has always been anything but conventional. Both Tania and Syngin seem to be on good terms, and Tania’s hinting of The Single Life season 2 indicates she and/or Syngin will be part of that cast.Though the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s marriage is over, Tania and Syngin are in good spirits and seem eager to move on with their lives. Now, the couple is poised to join castmate Stephanie Matto on The Single Life season 2, so both of them have a plan when it comes to finding a new direction in life. The couple hasn’t revealed if there was anything in particular that precipitated the breakup, but it could be as simple as the two of them drifting apart.Next: 90 Day Fiancé: Signs Syngin & Tania Were Always Going To Break UpSource: Tania Maduro/Instagram
Original God of War Was Almost a First-Person Game | Screen Rant
In a video centered around the gaming-related inspirations behind the original God of War (2005), creator David Jaffe noted the title was almost a first-person experience. God of War's Kratos slashed his way onto PlayStation platforms in the PS2 era, introducing players to an anti-hero with a haunted past and an equally harrowing future.Though the violence and sex-focused mini-games garnered much of the public attention, God of War's fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay took the industry by storm in its own right. The action title bore similarities to Capcom's Devil May Cry (2001), sure, but brought a wholly unique flair to the action-adventure formula, one that many a GoW clone would copy in the proceeding years. Interestingly, had God of War creator David Jaffe stayed true to his initial vision for the project, the franchise's success may have taken a different turn entirely.Related: God of War Creator Is Furious People Are Calling Kratos A MisogynistOn his YouTube channel, David Jaffe (via MP1st) uploaded a video highlighting the games that influenced the creation of God of War's 2005 release. Jaffe stated that God of War's locked-on third-person camera came courtesy of inspiration from Ico and Devil May Cry. "However... for about three months, I was seriously considering going first-person and the game I was looking at was a Dreamcast game... Maken X," he said. Despite Maken X's myriad shortcomings, the developer said it counted among the "few games where I saw melee combat done well in a first-person perspective."It would've been a cool way to differentiate God of War from other action titles at the time, yet Jaffe didn't think first-person lent itself well to the "kind of emotion and combat and character building that I was hoping to do." In hindsight, he doubts the idea would've lasted long enough to pitch to Lead Programmer Tim Moss. A DICE conference in Las Vegas where Ico and Devil May Cry were shown sparked Jaffe's and Moss' desire to focus on a locked third-person camera for God of War.Evidently, Jaffe's change of heart about the camera angle worked in God of War's favor. Following the brand's advent in 2005, Sony's Santa Monica group helmed multiple sequels; meanwhile, Kratos also left his mark with a couple of handheld excursions on PSP.God of War: Ascension launch in 2013 on PS3, leaving much to be desired in terms of a classic GoW experience. But instead of retreading old ground, the IP returned in 2018 with a brand-new setting, mature Kratos, and a different approach to gameplay. Another new outing, God of War: Ragnarök, should hit PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2022.Next: God of War Ragnarök Narrative Director Addresses Angrboda ControversyThe original God of War is available to play in the remastered God of War Collection on PS3.Source: David Jaffe/YouTube via MP1st
The Office: 9 Deleted Scenes That Should Have Made The Final Cut
Thanks to different streaming networks, The Office has a new wave of popularity. Although the show was on for nine seasons (2005-2013), fans always want more Michael Scott, Jim Halpert, and Dwight Schrute at Dunder Mifflin. Those behind the series have since released deleted scenes, cold opens that didn't make the cut, and storylines that were ignored. And YouTube has a plethora of them available for fans.RELATED: 5 Of The Best (And Worst) Cold Opens In The OfficeWhile The Office created the perfect sitcom, there were some deleted scenes that fans wished they saw. Whether they were simply hilarious or they added more depth to a particular scene, there are more than a handful of scenes that deserved a place in the aired episodes.9 Andy Bernard's Letter For His "Cousin," Michelle Obama (Season 9, Episode 3)In season 9's "Andy's Ancestry," Nellie pulled a prank on Andy by telling him that she did some research on his family tree and that he was a distant cousin of former First Lady, Michelle Obama. Andy was incredibly proud of this fact and boasted it around the office, even though everyone knew Michelle Obama being a member of Andy's family didn't make sense. In the deleted scene, there was a moment where Andy read a letter he wrote for Michelle to the camera. In the letter, he introduced himself as her family member and that he ran a successful paper company. He later told her that he would love to get together — but not on "October 20th," as he had other commitments... This moment is so typical Andy and deserved to be in the series because it proved Andy really believed Nellie's lie.8 A Proper Bob Vance Introduction (Season 2, Episode 10)In "Christmas Party," Phyllis introduced her new boyfriend, Bob Vance, to her co-workers. He introduced himself as "Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration," proving that he worked in the Scranton Business Park. Phyllis would later go on to marry Bob, but it would have been fun to know more about their private lives.RELATED: 10 Reasons Why Fans Love (& Can't Stand) Phyllis From The Office, According to RedditIn a deleted scene, Phyllis had a talking head where she told the cameras that she was bringing a date to the party — Bob Vance. The two met at work and formed a relationship. With an endearing smile that fans loved, Phyllis whispered to the cameras that Bob was her boyfriend. Seeing this side of Phyllis's relationship would have been memorable for viewers.7 Michael's Sage Sales Advice While Training Dwight (Season 2, Episode 14)In "The Carpet," Michael was disturbed to find some kind of excrement on the floor of his office. The scent was off-putting and made everyone sick. The office had it professionally cleaned while they tried to find out what it was, but this only made it worse. Because of this, Michael had to work in the sales department for the day.In the deleted scene, Dwight was on a call but when he realized it wasn't going anywhere, he told the potential client that he would call him in a month. Michel hated Dwight's quirky response and demanded he made another sales call that involved jokes. According to Michael, he had to tell a joke in order to land the sale. Dwight's joke, however, offended the client and Michael had to take over. Hilariously, it was Michael who trained Dwight in sales in the first place, so Dwight's failure was also Michael's.6 A Very Cold Meeting Between Pam & Roy's Parents At His Wedding (Season 9, Episode 2)One of the most badass things Pam has done in the series was when she attended her ex-fiancé's wedding. Pam and Jim had been married for a couple of years by season 9 and were in a good place to attend Roy's wedding after they were given the invite.RELATED: 9 Times Pam Was The Biggest Badass At Dunder MifflinRoy's success made things a little tense for Pam, and it only got worse when Pam ran into Roy's parents in a deleted scene. They raved about their son and how much they loved their new daughter-in-law. "Laura is really easy to get along with, and she's loyal," Roy's mom told Pam with a condescending smile. The moment was awkward and told so much about Pam's history with Roy's family that it should have been included in the final cut.5 Florida Stanely Knows How To Have A Good Time (Season 8, Episode 15)Stanley has some funny quotes in The Office and is a totally underrated character. Fans saw his truest self when a group of workers from Scranton was transferred to Florida for a few weeks to launch a new product on behalf of Sabre. While in Florida, Stanley let loose. Now known as "Florida Stanely," he showed Jim how to vacation in Florida while also showing up for work. In a deleted scene, Stanley showed Jim a "magic trick" when he poured a mini bottle of rum into Jim's soda can, only to fill the empty shot bottle back up with iced tea. The iced tea and rum were the same color and the glass appeared full again. According to Stanley, now that the mini bottle appeared full again, he put it back at the minibar so he couldn't be charged for it. Fans wanted more Florida Stanley, which is why this scene should have stayed in.4 Dwight Attempted CPR On Pam At The Dundies (Season 2, Episode 1)In The Office's first Dundies, Pam drank too much in fear of the potential Dundie she was bound to win and fell off a barstool after laughing too hard. Jim was there to help her and all was well. But in the deleted scene, Pam fell on the floor and Dwight ran over to assist her. For whatever reason, Dwight ripped off his shirt and tried to give her CPR. Pam was too giggly to care, but Jim helped Pam off the ground and escorted her away from Dwight as he was yelled at by the manager for being shirtless. The night was a big one for fans, as it was one of the first times Pam and Jim kissed. This scene would have been a fun addition to the episode.3 Andy Asked Oscar To Fire His Maid In Spanish (A Deleted Cold Open)Andy was a great guy that had a bad streak in season 9. His character changed a lot over the years; he became less of the adorable Andy and more of the rude, aloof Andy.In one deleted scene, Andy asked Oscar into his office and asked if he could be the translator between him and his maid. Oscar reluctantly agreed and the two laughed about her kids and had a sweet conversation, but when Oscar asked Andy what he wanted him to say to her, Andy asked Oscar to fire her! Furious, Oscar denied the task but he eventually gave in and did it. The entire scene was total Office cringe humor — perfect for the rest of the episode had it been chosen.2 Pam Found Out About Cathy & Jim's Hotel Room Hangout (Season 8, Episode 16)Fans were screaming at their TVs when Cathy flirted with Jim during their time in Florida for a business trip. With Pam being at home, fans didn't want Jim to mess his relationship. In the episode, Pam never found out that Cathy spent the majority of the night showering and lying in Jim's hotel room, but a deleted scene proved a different story. In the scene, Pam and Darryl called Jim's hotel room from Scranton. But instead of Jim, it was Cathy who picked up the phone. Pam's heart dropped in her chest as she spoke to Jim afterward. But she soon realized that Cathy had a crush on Jim and refused to leave his room. This scene would have made all the difference in the actual episode.1 Dwight's Prank Gone Wrong (Season 8, Episode 10)In "Christmas Wishes," viewers watched the office throw a Christmas party. One deleted scene found Dwight trying to prank Jim by placing a bucket full of random liquids on top of the door and waited until Jim walked through the door for the bucket to fall on his head. While Dwight told the cameras his plan, an unsuspecting Cathy walked in and the bucket fell on her head. Dwight was hilariously annoyed that his prank was ruined and was mad at Cathy for spoiling the fun. Considering fans found Cathy to be an annoying character, this moment should have been kept in.NEXT: The Most Annoying Office Characters, Ranked
Venom 2: How Eddie Teleports To The MCU At The End | Tech Crunch
Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage reveals a huge twist by transporting Eddie and Venom to the MCU, but how exactly do they get there? One minute, the two are relaxing after defeating Carnage and talking about the boundless knowledge Venom has access to through the symbiote hivemind. The next, the room trembles and changes, and the TV shows the unmistakable face of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Previously, it was believed that the Venom films took place in a different canon than the MCU. The Spider-Man movie rights are complicated and can be a bit confusing, but the gist is that Sony still holds the rights to the character and allows him to feature in the MCU through separate deal with Marvel. Sony is currently in the process of setting up its own cinematic universe of Spider-Man characters, which will include Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, and the Venom films. Now, it looks like Holland’s Spider-Man could be a part of that universe as well.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Venom Fight Receives Clever Twist Idea From Fan
With Venom confirmed to appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one fan is sharing their own ideas for how the inevitable boss battle with him could play out. The longtime foe of Peter Parker and his heroic alter-ego wowed viewers when he emerged from the shadows during the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer at last month’s PlayStation Showcase livestream, menacing Peter and Miles Morales after they had finished taking down their latest batch of criminals in an impressive display of the PS5’s graphical capabilities.Whether it’s the traditional Eddie Brock or Peter’s best friend-turned-tragic enemy Harry Osborn (as the end credits scenes from Insomniac’s previous two Spider-Man titles seem to indicate) within the monstrous black Symbiote that grants Venom his power, the popular villain has always been one of Spider-Man's most dangerous foes - thanks in no small part to the fact that the Symbiote was previously bonded to Peter before being rejected by the hero. This past relationship gave the Symbiote all of Peter's memories, making it all too easy for Venom to torment the web-slinger by targeting his friends and loved ones. Even worse, it rendered the Symbiote completely immune to Spidey’s trademark, danger-detecting Spider-Sense, allowing Venom to ambush Peter at any time and making his attacks difficult for the hero to predict and defend himself against. The character is set to be just as intimidating in the new game, especially because the legendary Tony Todd is set to voice Venom.
Only Goku and Vegeta's Fusion Can Surpass Dragon Ball's God of Destruction
In Dragon Ball Super, Goku and Vegeta are still working to master their respective god-like powers, from Goku’s Ultra Instinct to Vegeta’s power of destruction. Even before the Saiyans knew such power was even attainable, they still tangled with beings wielding power beyond their understanding, including the God of Destruction himself, Lord Beerus. At the beginning of Dragon Ball Super, both Goku and Vegeta fought Beerus in an attempt to save their world. While the outcome of their experience with Beerus made both Saiyans reach new levels of power, most notably Goku who was the first to break through the barrier of Super Saiyan God, they were no match for Beerus. Since their first encounter, however, their power levels have grown exponentially, and if they were to fuse together, they could conceivably defeat the God of Destruction. After meeting Lord Beerus as the God of Destruction threatened to destroy the Earth in Dragon Ball Super: God of Destruction Beerus Saga by Akira Toriyama, Goku and Vegeta begin training with the being that is responsible for training Beerus himself, the angel Whis. Initially, Goku and Vegeta train with Whis together, both working towards achieving the angel’s greatest move, Autonomous Ultra Instinct. After their powers are put to the ultimate test while battling some of the most powerful fighters in the multiverse, it becomes clear that Goku and Vegeta should focus more on their respective strengths rather than work to achieve the same goal.Related: Goku and Vegeta Can't Beat Dragon Ball's Most Powerful Being, ZenoTo that end, Goku achieves the coveted Ultra Instinct while fighting Jiren in the Tournament of Power and ends up being the very thing that weakens Jiren enough for Universe Seven to claim victory. After the tournament, Vegeta doesn’t go back to training with Whis but calls Beerus his new master as the god teaches the Saiyan the techniques of destruction. Goku studies with Whis to learn the powers of the angels while Vegeta trains with Beerus to learn those of Gods of Destruction, and eventually, their training pays off. Goku is able to use Ultra Instinct more sustainably while Vegeta unlocks the power of destruction. When Lord Beerus fought Goku right after Goku unlocked the power of Super Saiyan God, Whis revealed afterward that Beerus was using seventy percent of his power, something he hadn’t had to do in some time. Back then, Goku couldn’t even reach Super Saiyan Blue and was just beginning to learn Super Saiyan God, and Vegeta was nowhere close to either form. Now, Goku and Vegeta have reached power levels of the Gods of Destructions and of the Angels respectively, so if Beerus had to use seventy percent of his power to fight the weakest version of Super Saiyan God Goku, then it is possible that the combination of Ultra Instinct Goku and God of Destruction Vegeta could defeat Lord Beerus. While Beerus has never fought the fusion of Goku and Vegeta known as Vegito in his strongest form, the Dragon Ball Super manga confirmed that the previously stated theory is more than plausible. At one point in the series, Vegito’s power level does surpass that of Lord Beerus, though unfortunately just because the power of a Saiyan can surpass another’s doesn’t mean they can beat them in a fight. Saiyans’ incredibly high power levels can drain their energy as fast as it gives them the required strength to defeat their foes. While Vegito may have surpassed Beerus at one point, fans have still never seen the god’s full power against the stamina of Vegito. Only Goku and Vegeta’s fusion can surpass Dragon Ball’s God of Destruction, but whether or not they could actually defeat him has yet to be seen.Next: Dragon Ball And The MCU Share A Similar Time Travel Problem

Why So Many MCU 2021 Movies & Shows Are Fixing Age of Ultron
The MCU has entered Phase 4 in 2021, and many of its movies and shows have spent time fixing mistakes made in Avengers: Age of Ultron. 2015’s Age of Ultron served as the partial conclusion to the MCU’s Phase 2, and though the film was a financial success, it was a somewhat polarizing installment in the Avengers franchise, with many viewers and critics feeling that its choices in characterization and story were questionable. The following films, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame had far better reception, leaving Age of Ultron the closest thing the MCU had to an audience failure and the subject of in-universe maintenance for years to come. For a film franchise that began in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been remarkably well-received. Supervised by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, the MCU films are spiritually faithful adaptations of their Marvel comic source material and simultaneously crowd-pleasing blockbusters. 2012’s The Avengers changed the pop culture landscape almost instantly by proving the marketability and success of comic book-style shared universe crossovers. Since then, the franchise has grown in recognition and prestige, with Black Panther even winning multiple Academy Awards. The MCU has dominated pop culture for years, but not all of its installments are complete successes.
Stealthy Tabletop RPGs For Ninja Fans | Screen Rant
Ninjas are cool, as are tabletop roleplaying games; therefore, tabletop RPGs with ninjas in them must be extra cool! But what is a ninja, exactly, and what makes them such a staple of pop culture? The following RPG systems, each with their own stylized take on Ninjas somewhere on the spectrum between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, try to answer this question.Ask most people born in the 20th century what a ninja is, and they'll generally think of a stealthy assassin dark clothes and a hooded cowl, wielding exotic weapons such as throwing stars, sickles, and Sai daggers. Ask people who grew up during the 2000s or 2010s, and they may cite the Ninja Gaiden series or the Lego Ninjago franchises, media about warriors who wield magical "Ninjutsu" techniques and exotic martial arts. Ask a historian about Ninjas, and they might mention the "Shinobi" mercenary underclass that emerged in 12th century Japan, who hired themselves out as spies and assassins to warlords, wielded weapons inspired by agricultural tools, and would frequently disguise themselves as menial servants to close in on their targets.Related: Ninja Gets Kidnapped During Apex Legends Final RoundMany of the roleplaying games listed below were written by people who did their research about actual historical ninjas, then decided to wholeheartedly embrace the stylized, pop-culture conception of ninjas, "Shadow Clones" and all. Some of these ninja RPGs take place in historical fantasy settings similar to the times actual ninjas existed in (as with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's setting and NPCs), while others have ninjas leaping across the rooftops of modern day metropolises; each, regardless, are about roleplaying ninjas in stylish, stealthy ways. The 2nd edition of The Ninja Crusade, available on Drivethru RPG.com and set in a fantasy version of medieval Japan, are about heroic ninjas from the Lotus Coalition, fighting a war of resistance against the militant forces of the Izou Empire. Players create characters aligned with one of the ten clans of the Lotus Coalition, each specializing in certain skills and embodying different archetypes of ninja. The wandering adventures PCs go on in The Ninja Crusade draw heavy inspiration from the Ninja Scroll anime, along with more modern works such as the Naruto franchise.Legend of the Five Rings started out as a collective card game franchise with a rich meta-plot, then expanded into tabletop roleplaying. The latest edition of the Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game can be used to tell stories about noble samurai and magic-users fending off the dark entities of the Shadowlands, or political plots with scheming courtiers and genius generals. If players choose to create characters who hail from the mask-wearing, ninja-patronizing Scorpion Clan, they can also immerse themselves in tales of stealth, infiltration, lies, and assassination – dishonorable deeds committed for the greater good of Rokugan.Shinonbigami, an RPG translated from Japanese after a successful Kickstarter, is set in modern day Japan and is centered around a shadow war between the members of rival ninja clans - who also have day jobs, families, schoolwork, and other everyday concerns. The gameplay cycle of a Shinobigami session is broken into four parts. In the first three "Cycles," each ninja player character takes a turn in the narrative spotlight to pursue their secret goals, learn the secrets of other characters, and develop their relationships. The final part, a "Climax Phase," is a free-for-all battle between players and groups of players where secrets are revealed, relationships are pushed to the breaking point, and spectacular ninja arts are employed.Related: The TMNT Tabletop RPG Was Bizarre For All The Wrong ReasonsNinja Burger is a low-prep RPG about ninjas. Who work in the fast-food industry. Set in a world that's a madcap blend of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, and the "Deliverator" scene from the cyberpunk novel Snow Crash, the goal of players in a Ninja Burger session is to use the stylized ninja skills of their PCs to deliver meals to customers (undetected) within 30 minutes or less. No matter what. Obstacles standing in the path of Ninja Burger PCs can range from mutant sewer dwellers and hostile ninjas to rival fast food franchises such as Pirate Pizza, making this a tabletop RPG with ninjas that can provide as much amusement as adventure.Next: Swashbuckling Tabletop RPGs For Fans Of Pirate NarrativesSources: Drivethru RPG, Kickstarter
Every Form The Tall Man Has Taken In The Phantasm Franchise
Phantasm is one of the strangest horror franchises ever, but tying it together is The Tall Man, a towering villain who's taken multiple forms. The Phantasm movies have often been likened to nightmares captured on film, especially the 1979 original, with the kind of bizarre twists, unexpected surprises, and lack of conventional logic that often make up dreams. The Tall Man himself is certainly a nightmarish figure, and in an odd circumstance for an initially mysterious horror villain, the additional background information revealed about him in the sequels doesn't really make him any less scary.Played to widespread acclaim by late genre mainstay Angus Scrimm, The Tall Man is, to make a long story shorter, a being far beyond normal humans, despite his human appearance. The Tall Man is strong enough to lift a full casket without help, commands an army of brain-destroying flying metal spheres, and takes dead bodies to another dimension, where he transforms them into tiny servant creatures resembling Jawas from Star Wars. He's also, perhaps most importantly, nearly impossible to damage, much less kill.Related: Why Phantasm 2 Recast The Main Character (& Part 3 Changed Him Back)As if all those features weren't enough to make Phantasm's Tall Man a formidable adversary, he's also able to make use of a trait common to many of the best horror villains: shape-shifting. The Tall Man can use this ability to lure victims in, as well as to further terrify them. Here's every other form, aside from his standard one, The Tall Man has taken over the course of Phantasm's five-movie run.One of the most memorable scenes in Phantasm sees Tommy - a friend of major characters Jody and Reggie - making the odd decision to get intimate with a blonde woman in a striking lavender dress while in the local cemetery. The pair have sex, but then the Lady in Lavender (Kathy Lester) kills him, before shifting back into The Tall Man. The Tall Man tries to pull the same trick on Jody - older brother to protagonist Mike - later, but things thankfully get interrupted. The Lady in Lavender does later sucker in ice cream man Reggie later, stabbing him to death.Or at least that's how it first appears, as it's later revealed that the whole movie was a dream Mike was having, following the actual real-life death of Jody in a car crash, and that Reggie was still alive. Or maybe it wasn't a dream, since The Tall Man then appears to kidnap Mike to end Phantasm. Phantasm 2 picked up from the latter scene, and was a bit easier to follow. The Lady in Lavender wouldn't appear again until Phantasm: Ravager, the long-delayed fifth movie, again played by Lester. Oddly, Ravager seems to imply she's a separate, albeit still connected, entity to The Tall Man, despite the previous shape-shifting being shown. Reggie kills her, but The Tall Man continues on.While Phantasm 2 is easier to follow than the original, it's still pretty confusing at times, although diehard fans wouldn't want their Phantasm movies any other way. During the sequel, Mike and Reggie are trailing The Tall Man's path of death across the country, eventually picking up a young female hitchhiker named Alchemy (Samantha Phillips). Mike immediately feels uneasy, as she resembles a strange nude apparition he had seen in a previous dream, but Reggie has no such qualms, almost succeeding in sleeping with her - although thankfully for him, it got interrupted.Related: Every Horror Movie Still To Come In 2021After Mike, Reggie, and their new companion Liz seemingly kill The Tall Man via embalming him alive, the trio is "rescued" by a hearse driven by Alchemy. Reggie is grateful, but Alchemy starts pulling her own scalp off, revealing that she's been evil the whole time. Reggie is attacked and thrown from the hearse, which then drives off. Mike thinks it's all a dream, but The Tall Man opens the divider between the front and back of the car, and assures him it's not. In an earlier version of Phantasm 2, the fact Alchemy was The Tall Man in disguise was made more explicit, as part of the transformation was shown onscreen, but it was cut due to effects issues. This inclusion is an odd one, but it's also one that fits perfectly in with the abject strangeness of the Phantasm franchise as a whole. Phantasm 3 picks up right where Phantasm 2 left off, with Reggie outside the hearse, and Mike and Liz still inside. The vehicle then crashes and explodes, but things are a bit hard to make sense of from there concerning The Tall Man.Mike survives the crash, while Liz dies, but Alchemy/The Tall Man is nowhere to be seen. Reggie runs over, collects Mike and tries to make a run for it, only for The Tall Man - now completely intact and without even a scratch - to march up from behind and try to get them. This Tall Man was shown emerging from an inter-dimensional portal earlier on in the opening scenes, with the embalming method having indeed killed the Tall Man that served as Phantasm 2's primary villain. This concept of more than one Tall Man existing was made even clearer later in the movie.Considering everything seen of The Tall Man in Phantasm 1-3, many no doubt justifiably assumed the creature was simply a monster or an alien, and was never a human being. That's not true though, as Phantasm 4: Oblivion revealed. The Tall Man was once a 19th-century mortician named Jebediah Morningside, and was by all evidence a perfectly nice, normal person. That was until his macabre job eventually led Morningside to become overly fascinated with death, and where people go afterward. He was able to make a portal capable of taking him to an unknown other world, but this ultimately proved a terrible decision.Related: Every Stephen King Book & Story That's Been His Favorite (& Why)Not long after Jebediah made his trip to the other side of the portal, he returned, but no longer as the man he once was, having been turned into The Tall Man. Or considering there's more than one Tall Man, it would seem he somehow became the original Tall Man template. Jebediah later appears in one of the realities shown in the perhaps most confusing of all Phantasm: Ravager, sharing a hospital room with Reggie long enough to have a conversation. Phantasm: Ravager ends on another ambiguous note, which makes sense for a Phantasm movie, but is also undeniably sad, since Scrimm's death effectively precludes a follow-up.More: The Phantasm Movie Franchise, Ranked Worst To Best

Is Apple's App Tracking Transparency Effective? No, Says Study
Apple called its App Tracking Transparency framework one of the most impactful moves towards creating a more private ecosystem, but recent independent research shows that it is not really effective against third-party trackers and doesn’t block the transfer of personal or device data either. The core premise of the ATT framework was to offer users more transparency about their data, such as which apps collect information, what data they extract, and how it is shared. More importantly, each app was mandated to ask users explicitly about tracking via a pop-up notification.Of course, the likes of Facebook, whose coffers are generously filled by its massive advertising business, wasn’t too happy about the change and resorted to an industry-wide lobbying campaign. However, Apple remained adamant that it wants to give users a choice whether they want an app to show them personalized ads by tracking their activity across the web and apps. Following a fierce backlash and claims of Apple not implementing the rules on its own apps, the company temporarily delayed the ATT implementation for months and eventually enabled it with the iOS 14.5 release. However, the whole system might not be as effective as Apple claims.

Big Brother: Tiffany Mitchell Reacts To Being America’s Favorite Player
Tiffany Mitchell opened up about being named America's Favorite Player on Big Brother season 23. Tiffany won the coveted title after a seven-day period during which viewers could text the name of their favorite houseguest to cast their votes. The prize was doubled to $50,000 this year. With this win, Tiffany joins an elite group of Big Brother houseguests who won the respect and hearts of fans of the show. The award was introduced on Big Brother 7: All-Stars, and its first-ever recipient was Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina. Janelle expressed her support for Tiffany on her Instagram this season, encouraging her fans to vote for her. Other notable winners include Keesha Smith (BB10), Britney Haynes (BB12), Elissa Slater (BB15), Victor Arroyo (BB18), Tyler Crispen (BB20), Da'Vonne Rogers (BB22) and Jeff Schroeder, who is the only houseguest to win the prize twice (BB11 and BB13).Tiffany proved herself to America by creating the strategy that helped the Cookout alliance to reach the Final 6 fully intact. Her idea was nicknamed "the master plan" and consisted of each member of the Big Brother Cookout having a plus-one with whom they would share a place on the chopping block as a pawn, thus disguising the Cookout and ensuring the votes to keep it safe. Fans of the show were in awe of Tiffany's masterful gameplay, praising her intelligence and physical prowess, and her commitment to the mission of the Cookout to crown Big Brother's first Black winner.Related: Big Brother: Most Competition Wins By America's Favorite PlayersIn an interview with Parade, Tiffany discussed her win. Before revealing the result, host Julie Chen Moonves said that it was a close vote between Tiffany and fellow fan favorite Derek Xiao. Even Tiffany was surprised when she won against him because she knew how much America loves him, and she loves him too. She added, "When Julie said it was between Derek and myself, I was definitely thinking, 'Come on, America, I need the money!' I did not think that I would beat out Derek because who doesn’t love him? But the fact that America loves me, I am so appreciative of that because I talked to America every single day. America was the only person I was loyal to." Tiffany often spoke directly to the live feed cameras, explaining her gameplay and figuring out her next move. She gained the respect and admiration of fans, including Big Brother legends like Janelle Pierzina, who campaigned for Tiffany on Twitter. When she was informed that several Twitter users had changed their usernames to "Text TIFFANY to 97979," Tiffany exclaimed, "Get out of here!" still in awe of her win. When told that America felt she should be rewarded for her contribution to the Cookout, Tiffany again expressed her gratitude, saying, "Wow, that means so much to me. I really did feel accomplished making a contribution to the Cookout. The contribution that I made was really just a gift that was passed through me that I shared. And I’m so glad that we all welcomed the master plan. It feels great to be acknowledged in that way for what my contribution was." Once Tiffany became a member of the jury, America clearly felt that she deserved some accolades and some prize money. Her loyalty to her alliance and her plan to get them to the end of the game helped her to earn the respect of fans of the show. Her willingness to share the credit for the success of the Cookout with the rest of the alliance shows that she is a humble and grateful player.Tiffany Mitchell participated in a season that will go down in Big Brother history for finally crowning its first Black winner. However, Big Brother season 23 will also be remembered for Tiffany's iconic "master plan." Perhaps one day, fans will see Tiffany back for an All Stars season, teaming up with her fellow America's Favorite Player legendary winners.Next: Big Brother: Kyland Young Doesn't Regret His Explosive Eviction BehaviorSource: Parade
Stan Lee's First Superhero Became a Bloodthirsty Captain America
Long before characters such as John Walker took inspiration from Captain America, Stan Lee's first superhero was a Cap pastiche named Destroyer. Though the character did enjoy a brief time in the spotlight of Marvel's early heroes, he quickly faded into obscurity. Still, his legacy as Lee's very first superhero has always piqued the interest of comic creators who grew up in Lee's shadow. The most radical departure came from Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, who turned Destroyer into an absolutely brutal hero.Created in 1941 by Stan Lee and Jack Binder for Mystic Comics #6, Destroyer is the secret identity of Kevin Marlow. Marlow was a journalist in pre-World War II America who jumped at the chance to investigate Nazi atrocities when their existence was still controversial. He was quickly captured and stuffed into a cell with a Nazi scientist who was working on a super-soldier serum. The scientist sees Marlow's good nature and gives him the serum so he can break out. Marlow then becomes the superhero Destroyer, fighter of dictators worldwide. Several other characters would later take up Destroyer's mantle, with some even retconning Marlow out of existence. In 2009 though, he was brought back in a way that nobody expected.
Star Trek Generations: Why Leonard Nimoy & DeForest Kelley Refused To Return
Although Star Trek Generations saw the return of the original series star William Shatner, the iconic actor wasn't joined by colleagues Leonard Nimoy and DeForrest Kelley. Instead, Shatner appeared alongside Walter Koenig and James Doohan, who reprised their roles as Chekov and Scott respectively. Paramount Studio's original plan was for the entire cast of Star Trek: The Original Series to appear in Generations in order to pass the torch to the TNG crew. However, it soon became clear that several original members were unhappy at the prospect.Released in 1994, Star Trek Generations marked Star Trek: The Next Generation's leap to the big screen. Not only was it the first and only meeting between Shatner's Captain James T. Kirk and Patrick Stewart's Captain Jean-Luc Picard, but Star Trek Generations also climaxed with the death of Captain Kirk. As the screenplay took shape, it became clear that other TOS legends would appear in the film's prologue set in the 23rd century, with Kirk moving into the 24th century to meet Picard and heroically die fighting the film's villain, Dr. Tolian Soran (Malcolm McDowell).
