What ever happened to the KAC PDW?

There is not a whole lot of history on this gun and if it's still in use or if its shelved. Why didn't KAC introduce this into the civilian market? To my understanding, these were chambered in a weird proprietary caliber, but also .300 blackout. Are these still technically in production, made to order?
