Want a 10mm, I like the S&W, but thinking about first Glock?

I've been thinking about a 10mm for a do-it-all to throw into the truck, for hiking, and because I like big calibers.

I'm a fan of the Smith Shield EZ, the 9mm racks and shoots nice, and has a great trigger. I know the newer S&W isn't the same, but It's definitely from the same design family.

I've never shot a Glock, but I like that it'll be stupid-reliable, and literally millions of owners can't be wrong. I'd most likely go with a G20SF, but I won't lie I kind of want a G40 because it would perform better, either way I figure if I'm going to get a Glock I may as well get the boomer.
