The S10 was incredible. Here's what Samsung's doing to improve for 2020.Samsung's Galaxy S series is always one of the most anticipated smartphone releases year after year. Following a modest upgrade with the S9 series, 2019's Galaxy S10 lineup shook things up with an all-new Infinity-O design for the display, triple rear cameras, and even a third "budget" model. In the coming months, it'll be time for Samsung to take the wraps off of the Galaxy S20 (Samsung's expected to ditch the Galaxy S11 name). The phone has big shoes to fill, but knowing Samsung, it'll be up to the task.Without further ado, here's everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy S20!There will probably be three versionsThe S20's design has been revealedHere are the specs we're anticipatingWhy isn't it called the S11?Expect a high priceIt'll be announced on February 11Don't count out the Galaxy S10 just yetFlagship in every waySamsung Galaxy S10$750 at AmazonSamsung's 2019 flagship is s...

My first experience playing Space Pioneer must have been a couple of years ago now, when the game was still in early access. I had lots of fun playing what was a very polished top-down shooter with RPG elements, hopping from planet to planet recovering artifacts, defending probes, and repairing crashed spaceships all while blasting away hordes of angry aliens.Having revisited the game this week, I was pleased to see that it has continued to develop well beyond the single-player campaign. It now includes co-op and PvP modes that offer more diverse ways to play.Space Pioneer does a good job remixing the limited elements in unique ways, although it inevitably starts to feel repetitive by nature. There are five different planet types that you visit, and each has its own alien species. Each planet offers a rotating set of mission objectives along with secondary objectives for you to discover. Fortunately, if the solo missions start to feel like a drag, you can mix things up with P...

Best answer: The upgrade to a Galaxy S10 or S10+ is worth it, but you'll pay quite a bit for the privilege. You'll see benefits in performance, camera capabilities and battery life by moving to the new phone; but you'll probably pay about $600 for the upgrade when factoring in a sale or trade-in of your current Galaxy S9 or S9+. Closely analyze exactly what you get before making the decision to buy.Samsung: Samsung Galaxy S10 ($750 at Samsung)Samsung: Samsung Galaxy S10+ ($850 at Samsung)What you get with a Galaxy S10 or S10+ upgradeMuch of what makes the Galaxy S10 and S10+ worthy upgrades over the S9 and S9+ simply comes down to the steady march of yearly technology upgrades. The new models have a faster, more capable and more efficient Snapdragon 855 processor, which isn't necessarily noticeable in day-to-day use but will show its edge when you're hitting the phone hard — particularly in another year when apps and software become ever more power-hungry. The same goes fo...

Best answer: Most people will be happy with the base model of the Galaxy S10 or S10+ with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. That's plenty of storage and more than enough memory for all but the most hardcore users. The extra cost of moving up to 512GB of storage just isn't worth it for most people, unless you're currently maxing out a 128GB phone.Samsung: Samsung Galaxy S10 ($750 at Samsung)Samsung: Samsung Galaxy S10+ ($850 at Samsung)Which storage and RAM options are available? Both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ come with a base of 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, which is a healthy amount. In either case, you can pay extra to quadruple your internal storage to 512GB, while the RAM stays put at 8GB. In either case you can of course add a microSD card for up to 512GB of additional storage. 1TB of storage, 12GB of RAM and a ceramic back are purely lustworthy. The Galaxy S10+ also has an even higher spec model available, which comes with an astonishing 1TB of internal storage an...

Out with numbers, in with the stylus. Oh, and there's a new Moto G Power model, too.In 2013, Motorola asserted itself as a top player in the affordable smartphone space with the original Moto G. Every year since then, Motorola's continued to tweak and refine this formula with update after update to the G lineup.Last year saw the release of the Moto G7, G7 Play, and G7 Power in the United States — all three of which we've recommended at one point or another for shoppers on a budget.Moto G is back for 2020, but it looks a little different than it has in years past. The Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power have arrived. Even though Motorola launched a G8 Plus and G8 Play outside of the U.S., the 8 moniker didn't make its way to the United States and Canada, where these phones will launch later this spring. Despite the name shift and the introduction of a completely new variant with the Stylus, these are still the same kind of Moto G phones we've come to expect over the year...

This is a huge spectrum auction that begins on December 8, 2020.FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has given the talking points of the commission's plan for its auction of a portion of the C-band — the 4Ghz to 8GHz radio frequencies used mostly for consumer satellite transmissions — for general (read: mostly 5G broadband) use.The FCC wants to auction off the bottom 280MHz (the 3.7 - 4.2Ghz range) of the C-band and reserve 20Mhz of the band above that threshold for further needs. Both the FCC and current satellite operators say this will still leave enough spectrum for the operators to provide the same level of service that we have today. But like most things about wireless, there are some extra complications to work out — and of course, fees.Satellite RelocationYes, there are satellites involved. This doesn't mean physical relocation or any orbital change. It means changing which portions of the spectrum are used and how they are used.Right now, four satellite operators provide...

Soon after the pre-order launch of the RAZR in the U.S. last month, Motorola released several videos on YouTube for potential owners, telling them how they should care for the foldable phone's screen. People are now searching for products directly on Amazon, without using Google as an intermediary. What you need to knowGoogle's search revenues aren't growing as fast as they used to.Analysts point to both market saturation and a slow bleed of customers as the cause.Half of all product searches, for example, now originate on Amazon, sidestepping Google.Used to be that Google was the swiss army knife of the internet. Want to buy a new refrigerator? Ask Google. Want to plan your next trip to the Bahamas? Google's got you covered. Looking for the textbook your lecturer mentioned in class? Here's Google. Slowly but surely, however, Google privileged position as the gateway to the internet at large is being eroded. And while Google remains the jack of all internet trades — no one else is going to help you find that obscure bit of trivia about the Orange-bellied Parrot — it's dominance in search, and therefore ads, is being challenged by the masters of quite a few realms.A...

Take it from a woman who knows: traditional Valentine's gifts aren't the ones you remember. The Valentine's gift I remember most fondly from my first boyfriend were Runts that were sorted by color for me because they were given to me with three white, pink, and red heart-covered Altoids tins, which I've used years after I ate all the candy. Giving a practical gift that your partner will use every day can let a day's expression of love echo for months or years. The U.S could prop up Huawei's rivals to reduce global telecoms dependence on the Chinese firm. What you need to knowAfter crippling Huawei's smartphone business, the U.S. government wants to do the same to its telecoms equipment enterprise.A.G. Barr has suggested propping up rivals like Nokia and Ericsson by buying stakes in them through private equity firms. The move could also help U.S. carriers speed up their 5G adoption. The U.S is preparing to take its anti-Huawei crusade to a new level, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.Aside from making smartphones, Huawei also makes components for cell towers and supplies this to much of the world. This has become doubly important with the rise of 5G.
