Not to be outdone, Tyler Boyd scored an outside-the-box SCREAMER in the 41st minute. With both teams being alert in the second half, Carlos Vela's penalty finish in the 68th minute helped LAFC grab momentum of the game. Going up 2-1, Ryan Hollingshead's towering header gave LAFC a 3-1 lead. Not giving up without a fight, Marco Delagado's goal in the 84th minute helped to bring L.A. Galaxy within one goal l. As progressive as Galaxy were in the final minutes, it wasn't enough as LAFC holds on to a 3-2 victory.
The NASCAR Cup Series: NOCO 400 was held at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia on Sunday. Ryan Preece won Stage 1, his first ever stage win in the Nascar Cup Series. Kevin Harvick won Stage 2, his first stage win since 2020. The 210-mile race had just three competition cautions. Kyle Larson captured the checkered flag, his first career win at Martinsville. Joey Logano came in second place and Martin Truex Jr came in third.
