Australia met the Czech Republic in Pool B of the World Baseball Classic. In the first inning Australia's Alex Hall hit a solo home run. The Czech Republic responded in the bottom of the third, Eric Sogard singled on a ground ball to center field plating Petr Zyma. Australia took back the lead in the seventh, Logan Wade crushed a 2 RBI double for a 3-1 lead. They extended the lead in the eighth inning, scoring three runs off a triple and a single for a 6-1 lead. In the bottom half of the frame Marek Chlup hit a 2 RBI single to cut into the deficit 6-3. In the top of the ninth inning Australia tacked on two more runs bringing the score to 8-3. Australia won 8-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Mexico took on USA in pool play of the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Joey Meneses got the party going for Mexico by slamming a two-run home run in the first inning. Tim Anderson responded in the second with an RBI single. Things really opened up in the fourth inning after Randy Arozarena hit an RBI double followed by another home run by Joey Meneses. Mexico would go on to win by a final score of 11-5.

Immediately afterwards, Anthony Santander crushed a three-run home run to bring the score to 4-0. In the second inning, Salvador Pèrez went yard for a second Venezuela three-run homer. Eddie Rosario responded for Puerto Rico with a home run to bring the score to 7-1. Puerto Rico broke through in the sixth inning, scoring four runs and one more in the eighth. Venezuela would go on to win 9-6.

USA's Tim Anderson ripped an RBI single to right field, plating Kyle Tucker in the second inning. USA trailed Mexico 2-1 heading into the third inning.

The 2023 Nascar Cup Series United Rentals Work United 500 took place at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday. There was zero cautions in the first stage, and William Byron got the first green flag. The first caution came on lap 139, Aric Almirola lost a wheel. Kyle Larson won stage 2 by 1.2 seconds from William Byron. With 10 laps to go, Harrison Burton spun out to bring out the third caution. Kevin Harvick was in first place before the caution, his five second lead over Kyle Larson was erased at the restart. A fourth caution came out with only three laps to go. William Byron captured the checkered flag in overtime for his second straight Cup Series win.

Canada and Great Britain brought their bats in their matchup in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and it didn't disappoint! Great Britain jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Canada quickly responded as they grabbed a 5-3 lead by the end of the first inning. Highlighted by an Owen Caissie home run, Canada managed to get 17 hits in their 18-8 victory over Great Britain. The 25 combined runs set a record in the WBC for the highest scoring game ever.
