Every month, we share our list of books by Black authors we can't wait to read. But if you just can't seem to find the time to read them, we forgive you and want to offer you a pretty damn good alternative.

In light of the concurrent WGA Writer's and SAG-AFTRA actor's strike happening in Hollywood, we felt it fitting to take a look back at a handful of celebs and influential figures who've never shied away of speaking up and speaking out for a cause.

Every so often we discover that a pair of celebrities are related, whether it's Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, or Cory Booker and his twin" cousin, RuPaul.

One year ago this month, a group of Columbus police officers barged into a home to execute an arrest warrant which ended in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Black man as he lay in bed. Now, the shooter is facing murder charges in the incident.
