Burgkunstadt, Germany-based Jirg Sprave, team leader and owner of The Slingshot Channel, has created a new tutorial on how to weaponize a brand new skateboard by converting it into a large and extremely powerful slingshot. Sprave demonstrates the true power of his custom launcher by shooting a 60mm lead ball through a piece of particle board and a coconut.
Modern skateboards are a lot of fun - especially when you use them as material for a crazy homemade slingshot! The wheels that run on roller bearings are used for a pulley based draw length extension of 55 cm (22"^3). The end result is scary powerful and sure looks, ahem, different.
