In an official team statement Sunday, Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning confirmed the team is exploring trade options for Chris Higgins.

Higgins has two years remaining on his deal, which has a $2.5 million annual cap hit. This is his sixth season with the Canucks.
The 32-year-old forward has struggled this season with just two goals and one assist in 25 games. He has 332 points in 703 career NHL games.
