Day Old Otter Pup Falls Soundly Asleep on Top of Her Floating Mom at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

In December 2015, photographer Connie Levenhagen captured absolutely adorable footage of a tiny 1-day old otter as she snuggled comfortably asleep against her mother's chest as they floated supine in the tide pool outside the Monterey Bay Aquarium. According to Levenhagen, the audio portion was from an aquarium employee who was "doing a Periscope broadcast."
This baby sea otter was born in the "Great Tide Pool" at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on 12/20/15. Her mom is a wild, Californian sea otter that sought refuge in the pool to shield her against other animals and the stormy day
Levenhagen also captured gorgeous photos of the floating pair.
