Crawford builds a wall as Quenneville moves to No. 2 on all-time wins list
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford turned away 39 shots helping head coach Joel Quenneville move to No. 2 on the league's all-time wins list with a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
Quenneville collected his 783rd career win, moving ahead of long-time New York Islanders head coach Al Arbour. The 57-year-old remains 461 wins shy of Scotty Bowman who sits first on the list with 1,244 career victories.

Both teams took part in a good old-fashioned goalie duel with both netminders refusing to break. Mike Condon ultimately conceded two goals on 33 shots in a losing effort.

All of the game's scoring came in the first period within a 4:30 span. Blackhawks captain Joanthan Toews opened the scoring for his club with his 17th goal of the season, extending his point streak to four games.
The Canadiens' lone goal came off the skate of Paul Byron, while forward Ryan Garbutt's second tally of the season stood up as the game-winner.
The win gives the Blackhawks 62 points and a share of first place in the Western Conference with the Dallas Stars.
