Lundqvist makes history in win over Flyers
He may not be having a typical Henrik Lundqvist season, but he's still setting records.
The New York Rangers goaltender made 34 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon, becoming the first netminder in NHL history to post 20 wins in each of his first 11 seasons.
He also made franchise history in the process.

Lundqvist improved to 20-12-4 this season, but his 2.46 GAA through 37 games is the highest of his career.
Saturday's achievement is a testament to the 33-year-old goalie's longevity and consistency. However, it's worth noting the league adopted the shootout prior to the 2005-06 campaign, and in doing so, eliminated ties, giving all goaltenders more wins and losses.
Still, Lundqvist deserves credit for being among the elite goaltenders in the game for over a decade.
