Hartnell's feeling down: Blue Jacket apologizes for late-game penalty
Scott Hartnell is sorry.
The Columbus Blue Jackets forward addressed his teammates after practice Monday, apologizing for taking a late-game too many men penalty in Saturday's 2-1 over Colorado.
Hartnell added the penalty ate at him all weekend, according to Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch.
While obviously well-intentioned, the verbal gesture may not be enough to satiate head coach John Tortorella, who removed Hartnell from his regular line assignment for the morning session.

Hartnell sat as a healthy scratch back in early December after a costly gaffe late in a loss to Montreal.
The 33-year-old, who has three years remaining on a deal that carries a cap hit of $4.75 million, has recorded 15 goals and 16 assists in 45 games.
