Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins suffered a hand injury during Monday's game against the Florida Panthers, and after the game the Oilers announced that the injury will keep him out long-term.

The 22-year-old was injured while blocking a shot. Before that, he picked up an assist on a Jordan Eberle goal that gave the Oilers a 2-0 lead. He finished the night with just 7:08 of ice time.

Nugent-Hopkins has eight goals and 22 assists in 46 games this season.
