Jagr confirms he's going to All-Star weekend
Jaromir Jagr on Saturday put an end to the speculation about his All-Star status.
With rumors swirling that he would miss the All-Star Game with an "injury," the 43-year-old cleared things up after his Florida Panthers took down the Tampa Bay Lightning and confirmed that he will indeed be in Nashville next weekend.
.@68Jagr said he will travel to Nashville for All Star weekend but says he wishes it wasn't so time consuming. Would rather be skating here.

Jagr would have had to miss a game before the All-Star break or after the All-Star Game had he chose to sit out the league's annual showcase.
While Jagr was voted in as captain of the Metropolitan Division, he's more concerned about the rest of the season - and he turns 44 on Feb. 15.
#FlaPanthers Jaromir Jagr really doesn't want to go to AllStarGame...says team has 30 important games left, he needs to be ready. Stay tuned

In the end, though, Jagr will be there, and disappointing as that may be for the old man, it's what's best for the NHL.
