When is DRM-free not DRM free?
In their latest mobile bundle - BANDAI NAMCO Humble Bundle have restricted access to the mobile games. Instead of buying the bundle and downloading the games as APK, which is how previous Humble Bundle mobile bundles worked, this bundle requires the purchaser to install the Humble Bundle Android App on their device. With this restriction, specifically not supplying the games as APK and requiring their software to be installed on the users device, can HumbleBundle still claim that this software is 'DRM free'? The requirements page for this bundle does not state that this Bundle requires additional software to first be installed. The information about this was hidden on the Bundle page under a Read more... link. Is requiring the end user to install a separate third party product which controls how the software is installed and used 'DRM'?
