P.K. Subban and Jaromir Jagr: Best friends forever.

Subban put on a show worthy of an All-Star on Saturday night in Nashville, reminding fans of hockey that the game, above all else, is to be enjoyed - and that NHL personalities are and can be larger than life.

After winning the Breakaway Challenge dressed as Jagr, Subban talked about what the Skills Competition and All-Star weekend represents.

"In my opinion, this is the new NHL," Subban said, according to Yahoo Sports' Sean Leahy. "This is what it's about. You look at professional sports, the more athletes can engage and interact with the fan base, the more you're going to get out of it, right? The more you're going to get out of your league, the more revenues grow, in my opinion. That's the game now. Fans want to be able to interact with players and get to know them. I think the All-Star Game is a great opportunity to do that, no matter what the format is."

It was funny:))) I didn't know he's going to do it. P.K.-my little brother :) pic.twitter.com/XFvVjbigWh

As for the Jagr stunt, No. 68 was completely in the dark.

"(Jagr) had no idea. I wasn't going to tell him," Subban said, according to Leahy. "It had to be a surprise. I was kind of ribbing him earlier, 'what move would you use in the shootout?', and he told me to do something when I was on my butt and shoot in the top corner, but little did he know I already had (the impersonation) in my back pocket."

"For me, it's a huge honor for that five minutes I was Jaromir Jagr. It's pretty cool." - P.K. Subban

"It's a tribute to the great player that he is," Subban added, "the career that he's had so far in the NHL and the player that he's going to go down as when he's finished playing and that's as one of the best players to ever play in the NHL."

Subban gets it. He entertains, and he honors the legends. Here's what we know: It isn't an All-Star Game without Subban. Not even close.

PK asked what he's looking forward to in LA for ASG17: "I'm still trying to find that Miss Right. A nice Hollywood actress would be nice."
