Capitals, Blackhawks remain odds-on Cup favorites as Lightning make big jump
If the oddsmakers are correct, the Chicago Blackhawks will once again be battling it out with the Eastern Conference finalist for the Stanley Cup come June.
Standing in their way will be the likely Presidents Trophy winners from Washington, as the Capitals continue to maintain their spot atop the list of championship favorites.
Not to be overlooked are the Tampa Bay Lightning, who made a big jump up the list over the past month, while the Montreal Canadiens dropped way down as a result of sustained poor play.
Also making a large leap: the Carolina Hurricanes, who've been one of the best teams in the league over the past couple months.
