Jagr records 1,100th career assist, nearing Gordie Howe's point total

Jaromir Jagr continues to rack up the milestones.
With a pass to Alex Petrovic, whose shot from the point opened the scoring in the first period of Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, the Florida Panthers forward recorded the 1,100th assist of his career - 29 of which have come with his latest squad.

Jagr becomes the sixth player in NHL history to reach this particular milestone.
And after adding another assist and a third-period goal, he's now only 11 points behind Gordie Howe for third on the NHL's all-time points list.
