Rangers' 4-goal rally brings further dread to Wild
Things were looking up for a time.
The Minnesota Wild watched as their two-goal lead disappeared in front of their very eyes as the New York Rangers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to pound the Wild 4-2 Thursday.
The Wild jumped out of the gate with goals by Ryan Carter and Matt Dumba ahead of the first intermission. From there, the team took a back seat and played on-looker as the Rangers delivered the Wild their ninth loss in 10 games.
"Quite too familiar of a script; good start and then the other team pushes and we're not responding the right way," head coach Mike Yeo said. "Just not good enough."
The Wild have now tallied just 16 goals in their last 10 games and are now in a state of sheer panic.

Things won't get any easier for the Wild whose next four games come against the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals, and Boston Bruins, teams all seeded higher in the NHL standings.
