When Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel said his city would take on a new nickname while hosting the 2017 NHL Draft, the Detroit Red Wings couldn't help but laugh.

"Hockeytown" is a registered trademark filed by the Red Wings in 1995, which explains why Blackhawks social media staff transcribed it as two words.
