Goaltender Keith Kinkaid made 12 of his 27 saves in the third period Sunday on way to his first career shutout, while defenseman David Schlemko scored the game's lone goal as the New Jersey Devils won their third consecutive game, 1-0 over the Los Angeles Kings.

Kinkaid filled in admirably as No.1 goalie Cory Schneider got a well-deserved break after allowing a single goal in both outings of back-to-back wins. It was the 26-year-old's first win of 2016 in his third appearance.

The goaltending duo have now backstopped the Devils to a 4-1-2 record in February, despite their offense only registering one three-goal game - a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers on Feb. 2.

The Kings weren't all too impressed with Kinkaid's effort however, with the team's Twitter account giving the right post behind him more credit for the victory.
